Just thought I'd mention this. If you call CS, they won't tell you one way or another. The only way to find out, is to send your doll in.
Our Felicity is being sent back with her old head.

It's okay. I figured there was a pretty good chance they would no longer have the heads.
I just wanted to try. And I couldn't get a CS to find out for me before hand. That system is really goofy!

Awe, that's really sad! Poor Felicity.
I just sent Kirsten in for a head change, she is also a pre mattel, but she was my childhood doll so I don't mind if she comes back with a mattel head, just as long as she makes it home saftely.

Alicia...this is my 17-yr. old daughter's childhood felicity. She wants the doll to look like it did when she got it. Although, it really doesn't look that bad. It was my idea to send her for a new old head!

Too bad the hospital doesn't have any old Felicity heads, though it doesn't surprise me. My pre-Mattel Felicity had a bad accident several years ago (my little brother knocked her off her shelf and she hit a power strip on the floor, taking chunks out of her nose and cheek ). I sent her in for a new head, not realizing how completely different the Mattel Felicity heads are from the old heads. She came back with a completely different hair color and eyes about four times as bright green as her old ones. She was like a completely different doll. I tried to get used to her but just couldn't; I wanted Lissie to look like herself again. So I hunted down a mint condition pre-Mattel Lissie on ebay and shelled out much more than the doll hospital visit cost, but it was well worth it. I performed a head transplant on Lissie myself and she was back to her old self. Where pre-Mattel dolls are concerned, I say be cautious on sending them to the hospital if you want them to look like they did when you got them. I'm glad they didn't do anything to your daughter's Felicity and are sending her back with her original head! If the head's condition really bothers you, I think it's worth it to pay extra for an older ebay doll and do the head switch yourself. If I'd done that in the first place it would have saved me a lot of worry and trouble!
